Ruta Motel

My Fiancé and i stayed there for about 2wks, first and foremost what stood out about his place to us is that is it family friendly. The people who run the motel are a very caring and honest couple. At the time we were struggling financially, and needed an affordable place to stay, they were very welcoming and understaning and we were able to work out a plan for us to stay there. With that said, let me just make it very clear though that because the couple who run the Ruta are a family, they also very much depend on their income from those who visit (obviously!) so dont low ball them, but if you have any issues, just be open and honest and see if they might be able to work something out with you, and if they can, they will. Secondly, the location can be a bit sketchy...My Fiancé and I found

the place is old but very friendly staff looks like some updating the walls were tounge and grove wood a/c worked will stay again.bathroom was pretty good size.i bring a fan when i travel so if there were trains going by i didn’t here any|

Rooms are dirty and have cockroaches. And they still charge $75 a night which is way too high!

It’s perfect if you’re on a low budget or literally can’t afford anything better, but definitely not ideal.

Nice staff. Layed my 1 year old down, reached for my phone and (turned back around) a roach 🪳 was crawling across my baby face! Had to go!!! But the staff was nice and understanding!
