Ruskin Inn Tampa - Sun City Center

The room smelled strongly of marijuana, the pool looked like it wasn't cleaned in 6 months. And there was no breakfast buffet, actually no breakfast offered at all as advertised. Unless I can be compensated I will not go back and forward my review to all sites Darlene Johnson I stayed there February 1st

I rated this hotel a 2 for several reasons: Cons 1. There's different smells such as old mop smells, dog smells, and urine smells on the first floor. We're not sure about the other floors because our room was on the first floor. 2. They need pest control ASAP. There's roaches inside of room 109 and in the hallway. We killed 3 roaches inside of our room and 2 roaches were killed right in front of our door. There's also a major ant problem outside. 3. There were several altercations. Something happened at the pool and people were also screaming in the hallway. 4. The vending machine does not work. 5. Their website is not fully secured. 6. The lock on 109 should be replaced also. Staff was fine. The room was freshly painted and the floors updated. The room was clean and quiet. The bed was OK|The fixtures are old and need to be replaced. The "breakfast" was terrible, worst hotel breakfast ever. Do not figure it as part of the price. A challenge to find a place for chargers.|Looking for less expensive in Ruskin, it's OK. If you can spend more you might want to.

Whenever I come to visit family I stay here. I've been coming for a few years since this location was brand new. It is always nice and clean, bright, with plenty of hot coffee and a reasonable breakfast. The staff is always super nice which I love. Location is good too. Right off the highway and convenient to get everywhere I need. Definitely recommend... Bring greeted with a smile after a long trip is priceless!
