Hampton Inn & Suites Ruskin I-75

The 1st night, the TV remote wasn"t working. The front desk didn't have another remote but gave us old batteries that worked for 1 min. This wasnt a big deal. The next morning maintenance replaced the remote. We spent all day out with family from 11a until 0930p. We hoped to shower and relax upon returning to our paid room. When we entered the room, our beds were not made and we had no fresh towels. We called the front desk for towels and were told they didn't have any, that they ran out of towels.! Say that again?? Then I suggested to bring us pool towels. She replied there were none. I suggest bringing us towels from another empty clean room. She told me she was expecting guests for those rooms. Excellent service and clean rooms. Toilets do not flush well. TV is mounted on furniture instead of on wall. The TV brackets are not strong enough for the TV weight and so have bent down and the furniture backboard tilted forward so that the TV points to the ground and lists to one side. AC runs continously but it is still humid compare to the sister hotel in Bradenton. However, the room is big and we came to visit friends & sites rather than to watch TV. So, the off highway location without the highway noise was excellent for us.

Very clean and quiet, nice fitness room and free breakfast. The front desk woman was super nice and we had a laugh upon check-in. I was here for business and would stay here again if I was in the area. Very clean and was impressed with the staff and quietness!

Visiting family in Sun City for few days. Hotel is newer! Lobby welcoming, staff pleasant and helpful. Carpeting in hallways was clean. Room was large with comfortable beds. Bedding is small for bed, no material on sides to cover and we are small people. Large bathroom with good shower. Ample towels. Linen was ok average quality. Bathroom was large , clean well stocked. Breakfast could be improved. The potatoes were terrible, obviously from a package and warmed. Seasoning awful. The “omelettes” were dry and tasteless. Salty meat patties. No fresh fruit. Did have yogurt, oatmeal and cereals. Coffee was good!

One of our dogs got bit by a copperhead the nightt beofre our stay and no refund what so ever. Sent a copy of the emergency vet bill and pictures of her swollen face. We never used the room, and we won't book here again
