Royal Motel

I acknowledge that Royal Motel is convenient for person/s who look for a motel/s that they feel comfortable at🙂. It is pretty much a quiet area even though it's off of the 101 Hwy. I truly like the temperature of the shower. The water maintains the consistency of the cold and hot. The water will not all of a sudden get freezing cold and it will not get too hot on it's own. If you want to get away and have alone time or catch a good night sleep; Royal Motel, I strongly suggest.

Five star rating must be considered in CONTEXT. On Google maps street view you can see the motel, this is a small roadside motel, think movies from the 1960s or '70s, The small roadside motels you pull into for a night. Small, humble rooms, just the basics. If you want fully stocked soaps, shampoos, buffet breakfast, etc. this is not your place. If you want to be one block from the beach at a very modest price then the value is there. The staff is SUPER friendly and accommodating. My stay is for 3 weeks and it would definitely return anytime.

Yikes!!! Not a requirement but a hazmat suit would help. The list of the broken is longer than the not. The 1 light bulb out of 3 wasn’t working in the bathroom. Lucky I had candles. The water was hot but brown. I hate to bash but it was under $100 so you get what you pay for. The bed was comfortable and we survived.

It doesn't cost much, but as the says goes, you get what you pay for. But if you don't mind if the place is falling apart a little and you need a place to stay a couple weeks, then check this place out. It's small, less than two dozen units. But the staff is cool and doesn't mind if you have a guest or two. Oh yeah, the rooms are a decent size too mine was basically like a suite with a small bedroom and a small living roo with a fold out cot. Not sure if all the rooms are like that though.

The Royal Motel is great. Lori and Alan and Eddie are super nice and run this place smoothly and efficiently. The rooms are clean. The place has a nice quiet friendly atmosphere. We have had a great experience staying here. And the location is perfect. Perfect for walks on the beach and walks to grab dinner on Coast Highway. Nothing but good things to say about the Royal. The prices are the lowest in town. Thank you Lori! You are awesome!
