Moonlight Beach Motel

The Moonlight Beach Motel is an absolute gem. I'm so impressed that I'm doing my first Tripadvisor review! The location is fantastic and the rooms are clean and in great condition. But what really rounded out the experience for me was the that the staff was consistently so friendly, kind, and helpful. What a place!

We spent 3 nights here and really enjoyed it. We had room 208, very spacious and amazing view of beach. Rooms were clean. Parking convenience and all local shops and restaurants within walking distance. Was a great stay!

Location, location, location! Quaint 24 room lodging just 2 blocks from Moonlight Beach. Great views of ocean and sunsets from 3rd floor! Not fancy, but bright and clean with just the right amount of charm. Julianna was professional and accommodating. Thank you MBM for a great stay!

This a nice little motel walking distance to the beach. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Rooms were neat and clean. Rooms were quite as well, did not hear much of other guests during our time there. Small kitchen is using for light meal prep. Initial room we checked into had two issues - a window at the back with no blinds and so hard for light sensative sleepers. Second the shower had no water pressure. The hotel staff moved us to a new room ( with a better view ) that addressed both those issues.

Excellent value for money. The rooms were spacious enough for 4 of us and they are very well maintained. We had a lovely view of Moonlight beach from the room and small patio at the entrance to the room. The bedding was comfortable and sheets frequently changed. The location was peaceful and very well located for walking into downtown Encinitas, as well as being just 6 minutes walk from the Coaster train station which gets you to various towns up and down the coast, and San Diego in about 40 minutes. All in all we had a great break at the Moonlight Beach Motel.
