Roseburg Inn

Basic inn/motel. Quiet area, very kind staff. Room was clean enough, bed was very firm. All sections have different floor heights (between bed area and sink, then sink to toilet/shower, so be prepared for tripping hazards, and the AC had only one setting (jet engine) but it worked great. Overall a decent stop for sleep.

Traveling with my toddler and dog. They checked me in late, a little past 10. Put us in a room right next to the only other occupied room on the property. I get us settled into the room, and get a call on the phone after about an hour checking in. Apparently the person next door is complaining that we’re making noise and the management is telling us to be quiet or leave. They have called the cops. We’re not doing anything crazy, but my son is playing in the room after a long drive, and excited with being in a new place. I say things like, I have a kid, it was probably a bad idea to put us right next to the only other occupied room on the property. And maybe you should move us to another room. They say things like no, you can talk to the cops. You’re bothering my customer. No you can’t have

I am deeply disappointed with my stay. The property was nothing like what was described online. Upon arrival, I noticed unsettling stains and strange marks on the sheets, which made me question whether they had been cleaned at all. As a concerned mother, I called ahead to request extra time before checkout so I could ensure my children were clean and safe, given how unsanitary and unfit the environment felt. I was told that a later checkout would be okay, which gave me some peace of mind but then they started banging on the door and decided to change their minds. To follow it all up, when I returned briefly after checkout to retrieve a few forgotten belongings, I was met with hostility. Despite being told a late checkout was fine, the staff confronted me aggressively, yelling and even putt

This was a quaint throwback to another age. They have actual physical keys! The service was absolutely exemplary. Vaibhavi Patel was warm, welcoming and accommodating. The room was clean and warm, and the bed was comfortable. Our only complaint was that it took a while for the hot water to warm up in the sink and shower. Clean, safe, comfortable and inexpensive waypoint on our trip. Thank you!

So full disclosure I did not stay here, I actually showed up to the wrong place at 2am, having misread Expedia. However, despite being awoken at 2am by a non-customer, the gentleman whom I believe is the owner could have been nicer or more understanding. Many thanks!!!
