Historical John Rast House 1875/EVchg/Breakfast

Sheri and her family created such an amazing and unique property. This is essentially a house from 19th century that has been delightfully restored and preserved. There are so many artifacts from previous generations that are still in use. Our room which was called "Train room" had a box that belonged to a guest from 19th century. We enjoyed our breakfast and Sheri was so nice to show us around the house in the morning. I'd definitely stay here again!

This is a special place, lovingly restored. If you have any interest in history, you owe it to yourself to stay here. The owners are incredibly hospitable, thoughtful, and kind. Very comfortable in every sense. Great bedrooms, bathroom, and communal spaces. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Delicious breakfast too.

This is a wonderful place to stay. Sheri has created a lovely and inviting space and can provide you with historical perspective on the house. It is not often you get to stay in a place listed in the National Register of Historic Places. She rents 3 rooms in this Gothic style house. Be sure to enjoy the backyard, which they have converted into a lovely garden. Note that pets are not allowed, and it is not handicap accessible. There are some steep stairs to get to the bedrooms.

We stayed here for 3 nights and had a wonderful time! The house is beautiful and well maintained, and the rooms feel inviting and comfortable. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming, and the breakfasts were delicious! Highly recommend to anyone that can make it up steep stairs.
