Romer Hell's Kitchen, neighborhood hotel

We had a really good stay at Romers Hell’s Kitchen. The location is hard to beat. Right in Hell’s Kitchen, close to Times Square, restaurants, and easy subway access, but still far enough from the chaos to feel comfortable with kids. The room size worked surprisingly well for our family of four. Two adults and two kids fit comfortably without feeling cramped, which isn’t always easy to find in Manhattan. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. Check-in was smooth, and everyone we interacted with was helpful. Overall, a great choice for families visiting NYC. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a family of 4, 2 teen kids and booked a double room for 5 nights. The check in was friendly and efficient. Our room was on the 5th floor (we never waited for an elevator) and we could hear some sounds from the road below but it didn’t bother us. The room was cleaned daily, big enough (NYC standards) for us with our luggage. The bathroom was fine but the hot water supply was a bit inconsistent. The location was great, short walk to the subway, Times Square,many theatres and also had pizza place, Chipotle and Dunkin Donuts across the road. There is a Whole Foods a few blocks away. You can get water, coffee etc from the hotel lobby area. Compared to other large hotels in the area, this hotel is great value for money. Positive: Elevator was always available unlike other hotels we have stayed at New York. The staff was so nice and friendly. They had an elf on the shelf that they were hiding which was fun for my daughter until another guest stole the elf. Good size rooms Negative: ""

If you love a tasteful, old-school atmosphere, this place is a dream. Think rich dark tones, moody lighting, and that classic, handsome “another era” feel, like a stylish film set, but comfortable. One detail I kept noticing (in a great way) was the scent: a dark, musky soap fragrance that felt clean and elevated, like a high-end barbershop or classic boutique. Staff were friendly and the "So-and-So" speakeasy downstairs had live music playing to a full room of patrons enjoying drinks and dinner. The whole experience felt curated and timeless. Fantastic hotel. I have a new fave hotel in NYC right in the middle of everything: Times Square, theaters, Central Park, and all the subway lines. Awesome location in Hell's Kitchen!

Guest service was royal. Joan went above and beyond for our birthday celebration in NYC for my daughter. We are so grateful for her hospitality. The location is excellent, especially for theatre district goers. Room is cozy and perfect for rest in the bustling city. Can't wait to check out the piano bar with live music to finish our night!
