Rodeway Inn Monterey Near Fairgrounds

I reserved a room here as I had an early morning appointment very close by. I didn’t have a high expectations, but was pleasantly surprised. The front desk clerk was really nice and brought to my room my drivers license that I had left on the counter because he remembered I had to leave early in the morning and he wanted to be sure I had it. . I actually hadn’t realized I had left it there so I was so grateful. There’s plenty of parking and the room is very modest but clean. There’s extra blankets and towels, and an iron and ironing board and hairdryer. The air conditioning works fine and this room is exactly what I need for the night. Don’t expect luxury, but it’s a great deal with great staff and the room is just fine.

The price was great and you get what you pay for so no harm no foul.The staff was very helpful and nice. The room was quiet. Now for the downside, walls were dirty, carpet was dirty, and there was an armchair  that was soiled and really gross. The stairs up to the second floor need a good pressure washing. They were also dirty and gross. The coffee machine did not work.I would pay a little bit more money stayed at a different place.

My door to the room won't work took a day to get it fixed. The assistant manager was very helpful, but didn't offer any discounts. The walls r paper thin the last night there at 3:17am & 5 ish I was awake out of my sleep from mourning of a couple having sex it took them hours & they couldn't get the job done. Finally just got u & dressed tired from lack of sleep & a 6 hours drive ahead of me. Rooms need updating. I would recommend roadside inn to anyone.

The location is good but seems like the owner doesn't care. Maybe the worst rodeway i stayed at. from furniture to mattress to everything needs upgrade. Go for other local motel don't fall for name

The hotel needed updating badly, especially the bathtub. The calking around the tub are moldy and unacceptable. We didn’t use it at all even though we had a 3-day stay. Very cringe worthy. There were mo maud services at all furing our stay. The 2 paper cups were never replenished thus we had 1 paper cup firvtge 2 of ys after day 1.
