Riverview Inn

My experience was not the best but not the worst either. Upon checking in I asked the guest service representative if they had any recommendations of places to visit during my stay. She said no. She was not mean about it. She just flat out said no. I said thanks and went to my room. The room was clean and it seemed like it had been remodeled within the last years. One of the lamps was not working but decided not to make a big deal out of it since the other table lamp did work and provided sufficient light. I was checking the back of the room key and it provided safety tips for guests. Including deadbolt the door. Don't open the door without verifying their ID. Amongst a few other tips. I thought it odd as I never noticed other hotels give these types of safety tips on their room keys. Thou

The staff is exceptional, friendly & helpful. We don’t stay at outside entrance hotels but decided to try Riverview after reading the reviews. There are plenty of security cameras so we never felt uncomfortable. We wanted a location on the river & this place was priced right for our stay. The entrance doors to rooms could fit better, replacing carpet with tile or laminate flooring & some better outdoor seating would greatly improve the overall experience. We would stay here again when we are in the area.

Would NOT recommend. The room was NOT clean, i found wacky cigar butts laying on the Air conditioning units, (my two kids found.) cigar ashes on the bed sheets, the smell was absolutely awful, mildew and mold- would be more comfortable sleeping in a packed car. Would not recommend digesting that air at all. AND, THEY DONT RETURN THE DEPOSIT.

Positive: Last minute and had no issues getting in and they let our dogs stay Negative: Nothing loved it all

Buyers BEWARE ! It's not a Dirty Motel & stay was unremarkable. But, This place is running a $cam of taking $50 Security Hold into Full transaction. After 9 days , No refund & excuse by Hanging up the Phone / poor Communication. Owner? Excuse of Manager not on Duty or We forget to refund! Lying that credit card numbers were missing (after I started Fraud investigation with Amex(PLT) & received the instant respon$e! You get the Picture... In the name of Security Hold as most Hotels does & Release the fund. These people playing the system of keeping the money & may be gaining interest. Sounds like a Organized Fraud. I may bring attn of law enforcement /FTC into this matter. Posted this on Bookings.com In the meantime . Consumers be WARNED!
