Riverside Inn & Suites Danville Virginia

From the very first day, our stay was nothing but issues. When we checked in, the front desk lady never came to inspect the rooms like she said she would. Instead, she kept claiming she had to “wait on the boss,” which turned out to be untrue. We later realized she was lying and avoiding the situation. When he finally came he said the room was fine nothing was wrong the heat didn’t kick on however we had issues the night we complained the next day we were set straight but that was near check out time . We spent almost $500 total for multiple days and honestly should have left immediately, but due to the inconvenience and having a child with us, we were forced to stay longer than planned. You get what you pay for. I didn't care for it much. The curtains were held together by a paper clip and you could see into the room if you wanted to. Mattress was way too stiff. It was clean but I had to ask for a garbage can b/c there wasn't one in the room. They had a closet but no hangers. It did have great water pressure if that's important to you. Honestly I don't think I would go there again just b/c the curtains were so janky. It weirded me out.

I drive for a living and have stayed at many motels across the USA. I have seen worse,,but not by much. Never stay at a motel where people live. They place is a drug haven,,ppl coming and going all night. Knocking on doors,,hollering,,fighting,arguing/ slamming doors. AND THERE ARE CAMERAS EVERYWHERE. The monitor is visiable in the lobby. LET THAT SINK IN!!! They know,,but dont care as long as their making money. Great price,,shitty hotel. You can hear EVERYTHING. Paper thin walls and qustionable locks on the doors. No cleaning your room,,unless asked. No clean towels tIl you WALK TO THE LAUNDRY ROOM AND TURN IN YOUR SOILED TOWELS. Needless to say,,i will never stay here again. And would rather spend the extra money for SLEEP AND SAFETY.

I booked through priceline and when I arrived I was confused when the hotel attendant asked me to pay because I had a receipt from priceline saying I already paid. This wasn't a too big a deal since I figured I could address it with the manager the next day. I arrived to my room and was very surprised by the appearance, I didn't expect the best but I didn't expect cigarette burns in a not smoking room in the bathroom sink and tub. I also didn't expect used tissues on my "clean" towels, atrocious shower curtain, and destroyed bathroom tiles. Misleading description online. Room DOESN'T have coffee maker as described on Hotel.com website description. No closet to hang anything. No iron or ironing board. Sparce power outlets in the room to charge our devices. One near the sink doesn't work, notified management snd nobody showed to repsir it, even though management said he'll send someone. Mini fridge+freezer is a definite plus💯👍👌 and a working mini microwave are a bonus, even though it wasn't really effective in heating food. Room seems well kept, possibly a recent upgrading.
