City Express by Marriott Danville

Apparently, I was one of the first 10 new Customers since the renovation and relaunch. I have to say they did an amazing job... very welcoming at the front desk. I will definitely be staying there again. I have a lot of business up that way and this will be a new spot for me to stop and have a good night sleep. Clean rooms, great service!

“I had a great stay at the City Express in Danville. The bed was honestly more comfortable than most hotel beds I’ve slept in, and the room felt really clean and fresh. The front desk staff was super welcoming and friendly, which made check-in easy. The location is also a plus — only about a 10-minute drive to downtown Danville and the casino. I’ll definitely be staying here again throughout the year and would recommend it to anyone visiting the area.”

Positive: Great location Negative: No microwave in the room

The hotel has been “updated” in all the right areas. Though, more attention to detail would be appreciated. There are some obvious areas that have been missed (caulk is cheap). The staff, however, is amazing! From check in, to tech issues that were rectified quickly! The room was clean and organized, spacious and the mattress was super comfortable! Final note, there were no cups in the room. Not for drinking water or washing your mouth out post brushing teeth. This is a glaring omission. I was told by the front desk that having cups in the room was “against brand standards.” If this is the case, Marriott, do better. And do it quickly. The rating here was for the staff, primarily and the bed.
