River's Edge Apple River Tubing & Camping

We didn't camp, just went tubing. Friendly staff, clean facilities, better tubes since last time we were here. They have small air fill covers instead of the 4" long filler stem that always got in the way. Good place to relax and enjoy. Prices went up a bit but, what hasn't.

Great place for a bachelor party. The little cabin was clean. Just be sure to bring your own bedding. Tubing was fun too and the price seemed decent especially considering a bus brings you back to the camp. Staff was helpful and friendly to us.

Our family stayed in one of the cabins, which is situated along the southern edge of the grounds- WARNING all of the cabins are within stones throw of the freeway. If you are looking for something serene and in nature, this is not the place for you. The freeway was very loud day and night, even from inside of the cabin. One of the screens was missing inside of the cabin, so we could not open the window for fresh air or bugs would fly in. We notified staff and instead of offering a different cabin, they shrugged it off. During our stay, no other cabins were in use except one, for one night. The cabins are decent, but had an odd smell, and made with particle board. I've been going to the Apple river for 20+ years, I've camped at every camp ground but this is the one I keep going back to. I always go on weekends b/c I'm going to have a good time! :) I wouldn't bring my kids on the weekends because anything can happen on the river (not necessarily the camp ground) and I don't feel like explaining some adult stuff to my youngins. ||In the morning they have breakfast that you can buy from them so I never have to worry about bringing breakfast food :) The showers are the cleanest on the river and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful! I have never had a bad time at RIVERS EDGE!!!! See you there this summer!!!

BUYERS BEWARE: Excessive hidden fees, not worth the money. Extremely poor service. We pre-registered for our campsite ahead of time. We requested a site close to the showers and with some privacy. Upon arriving, we were informed that we would need to pay an additional $11 for parking. On top of that, any other activity here costs extra. Want to shower? That’ll cost you $1.50 for every five minutes. Our site was the furthest it could possibly be from the showers (I’m talking complete opposite end of the resort). No privacy, no shade. The dumpsters overflowing. To top it all off, staff was incredibly rude throughout our stay. You could spend about a third of what you will likely spend here for a much nicer campsite, better (and free) bathrooms/showers, and FREE access to a river or lake.
