Best Western Plus New Richmond Inn & Suites

We came for a hockey tournament. The management on Saturday night was extremely rude. The first round of staff was amazing. As the weekend continued each staff had different rules and different expectations. Instead of explaining the different rules we were talked to like toddlers. This was our first encounter with this gentlemen and was extremely rude and demeaning. I would recommend not staying at this hotel if you have families, children or a team.I’ll be sure to write to our hockey board and let them know that this hotel manager was not welcoming or accommodating. There was also 3 hockey teams here and all of us were shocked how our families and teams were treated. We completely understand rules, regulations, and expectations but they the disrespect we encountered at 8:15p

It’s a clean, small hotel with free parking. Breakfast was reasonable, with a mix of hot and cold options available. Friendly staff and hot drinks available all the time in the lobby. One downside for me was the pillows, as they were quite high and small, which caused neck pain. The room temperature was also difficult to control, despite sub-zero temperatures outside, the room felt very warm and we had to switch the system to cooling. Another thing to note is that the room does not have a safe or any means to secure your valuables.

Great friendly service at the check in desk. The hotel was very clean, well decorated, and nicely kept. My room had a good sized fridge, spacious bathroom, and decently comfortable bed. Overall it was a nice and comfortable stay.

Positive: Cleanliness Negative: Got to the hotel the elevator was out of service had to use stairs to get to my room wasn't offered any discount for my inconvenience

Fairly new hotel and very clean. Comfortable bed and pillows. Friendly at the front desk. Great opportunity for the manager, but the breakfast is lacking. Need better sweets. You could swim in the scrambled eggs. Thinnest, shatter bacon on the planet. No bowls. We went to the McDonald's not far.
