River Rapids Inn

This is a great place to stay when you visit Falls. Location is terrific. View of Niagara River Gorge is beautiful , spotlessly clean rooms are sound proof, with brand new kitchenettes great for travellers and residents . Equipped with fulll sized stainless steel fridge , built in microwave , coffee maker , linens , towels, lots of pillows on the most comfortable bed . River Rapids Inn offers long term and reasonable nightly , weekly rates. There is a pool and sauna , bimonthly housekeeping service , excellent all you can eat breakfast for only $9 , 7am-9am (7am-19am Sat/Sun) only thing I’d suggest to the owners is to put laundry on each floor not the basement it is too far and carrying load all the way down and back is too heavy. Despite emails to BOTH their email addresses and a phone call with a live person to cancel a reservation, we have nevertheless been charged as noshows. I must now tackle the thankless task of getting back our money. Fortunately, I have copies of the emails.| Incidentally, the picture on the Tripadvisor entry for this motel is actually the famous Frontier House across the river in Lewiston, New York.|I will update this review as we go along...

Such a very comfortable inn, very clean and for sure I will definitely book again.

Great price however, old hotel with poorly renovated rooms. Freezing pool with old installations. Also they sell you this hotel with a secondary parking lot at Clifton Hill, however, it’s in fact on Stanley Avenue, 20 min away from Clifton Hill by foot. The breakfast is pretty basic but acceptable.

I didn’t even get to stay here because when I arrived to check in, after a long and busy day (including travelling all the way to Niagara Falls) the staff at the front desk informed me that there was no hot water for any of the rooms. No one had contacted me prior to my arrival when I could have had more notice to find other accommodations or perhaps choose not to come at all. They didn’t offer any compensation for the highly inconvenient situation except for a full refund. They could have made arrangements with other hotels in the area and offered discounts for future stays but they obviously do not know how to run a business.
