River Inn at Seaside

High risk pregnant mama. We took the kiddos on a little night away outing before baby comes. We chose this property so the kids could swim. We got in the pool and it was so cold. We were in it for 5 minutes total if that. Then we tried the hot tub which was also very cold. The hot tub was colder then a toddlers bath would be. The kids were very disappointed and upset.

We like to take our children to beach hotels to practice swimming and enjoy the ocean when possible during the winter months, this was our first time staying at this particular hotel, but we saw it had a heated indoor pool and hot tub. We checked in and during our first night there noticed the pool was an absolute ice bath, within 5 minutes my 5 year old son was shivering and ready to go take a hot bath, We went to the front counter and asked about it and were assured by the man at the counter that they just fixed it and that it would be heating up momentarily( I was skeptical of this because pools usually take days to heat up) later that night same thing, an absolute ice bath, my 3 year old daughter refused to even get in and my 5 year old son swam for maybe 10 minutes. I think this is a great place for families to stay- not so much for couples who would like a romantic or quiet vacation. Kids were having great fun in the hallways, game room and outside, but all was quiet around 10:00 p.m. It truly was nice to see families enjoying their vacations. The room was clean and comfortable. My only negative is that check-in isn't until 4:00 p.m. We arrived early, but it seemed that all of the rooms were not ready until 4 ish.

The rooms are spacious and super clean. The beds are comfy. Breakfast was standard hotel fare. That said, it was good and plenty for everyone. Desk service was awesome and friendly. The pool and hot tub were awesome!
