River Crest Cabins

I was initially hesitant to book this cabin in Colorado due to some older reviews, but I'm so glad I gave it a chance! Under new management, this place has completely transformed. The cabin was spotless, cozy, and well-maintained, with all the comforts needed for a relaxing getaway. The views were absolutely breathtaking, and the location was perfect for exploring. would highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a peaceful, scenic getaway

I had my wedding here August of 2022 and my wedding was beautiful, but dealing with the owner was disappointing. My husband and I reached out multiple times leading up to the wedding with little to no response. We traveled from out of town and got there several days early and the property was not ready for us. In the reception hall there was trash, furniture, and random things That we moved because the owner was taking his time. We had family members setting up tables and chairs and moving furniture because the owner wasn’t around or had some sort of excuse. The owner that we had been dealing with was very unpleasant and unprofessional. We never received our security deposit back. Nice cabins that are fairly new. You can tell where corners were cut with construction, but structurally safe. There were staples sticking out of the floor in the kitchen, so I wouldn't recommend walking barefoot inside. The electric outlets weren't always working consistently, and the showers were really cold as there wasn't much longevity for the heated water in the showers. The doors also kept blowing open from the wind if not dead bolted correctly. There were lots of beds. One of the bathroom faucets was a bit too short so water would partially flow in the sink, but mostly on the counter.

Our first impression of the house was terrible. The yard was filled with trash and broken things. Broken down truck, busted metal, broken glass all over the front yard and on the porch. The back doors didn’t lock, and one didn’t latch so we had to push a chair in front of it. The oven is broken along with two fire pits and an endless amount of chairs are broken as well. The hot tub was missing the cover over the filters and constantly had an error code pop up. The door handled shocked several of us. The master floor was torn up but covered by a rug. The cabinet door in the bathroom was completely broken off. Someone was going in and out of the garage during the day while we were gone which made the kids very uncomfortable knowing someone was lurking around and the doors didn’t lock. We fou

So this is in South Fork Colorado, its a very small town in the middle of nowhere with few normal amenities, restaurants, a single country grocery store etc. Lots to do out there in the mountains and great for OHV and Dirt Biking. We stayed in Cabin/House #2, it was sufficient, the inside of the house is as pictured, comfortable and clean. No complaints regarding the actual accommodations. One item might be the dryer really doesn't work and sounds like it will break at any moment, a small problem when your required to wash and dry the towels before leaving. The outside of the house property is not well taken care of, junk all around the house and the hot tub likely has net worked in the a long time, I was told they are waiting on parts but its been a while based on the mold growing inside
