Moon Valley on Wolf Creek

This RV park has been around a long time. Facilities are well-used, but clean and functional. Water supply reliable but smelled of high iron content. Nightly cost here is very reasonable. Although not far from the highway, the park is nestled back against some cliffs & forested area – the feeling here is much better than the huge “parking lot” RV park just down the road. Possible to hike into the cliff/forest area behind the park, also a number of hiking opportunities not far from the park. About 70% of sites occupied by seasonal guests, we seemed to be the only short-term guests during the entire weekend we were there (mid-July). Pros: prices are very cheap||Cons: after staying for a week I now know why they are so cheap. Bathrooms are filled with fungus all over the walls and flooring. Water pressure was fine but the water rarely stayed warm for more than 5 minutes. If you need to use the stall, bring toilet paper because it is constantly empty. There is a small pond ridden with snakes all over so be careful where you step. Staff was friendly yet non-existent when it came to fixing things and cleanliness. Claim to have wifi but the signal is never strong enough to stay connected for more than a minute. Claim to have cable, yet only supply two local channels. We went horseback riding as a family of 17. They had to take us in two separate trips as we were too big. Everyone had a real good time and I highly recommend it. We had first timers with us did fine. We go into the hills, but it's not bad.

We went horseback riding here and we had a blast. Completely safe the horses were great. Beautiful scenery. If I come back you bet im doing it again. 10/10

We have travelled around the USA for last three months, this campground was the best taking into consideration the price and offered services, everything was perfect, friendly people, even iron board in the laundry room, etc. Big site with full hook up, nice showers, huge meeting room with TV, books, exercise equipment. We definitely recommed to everybody to stay in this camp, we met people on our trip who also talked about his RV camp and said they were visiting each year. We were not surprised.
