River Bend Cottages

Spacious, very convenient, outdated. Plenty of room with two bedrooms in the large living room with two sofa beds. Tiny bathroom with your grandma's washer and dryer. Decent size kitchen with all the tools for cooking and eating. While the property is well-maintained, it is also outdated, with signs of a building that has passed its expiration date. Extremely convenient and quiet location with private gated parking, price reflects its past due time. All together a good option for a large family on a reasonable budget.

We were originally planning to stay at a tree house. The construction caused us to be relocated to a 2 bedroom cabin. The view was excellent. The cabin was perfect. We love the place if I had to describe the décor it was rustic. But it was still very comfortable and very functional. Everything we needed was provided by management.

We had several family and friends all stay and were counting on the fold out couches. They were terribly uncomfortable, so we had to fold them back in and sleep on them as a couch. Other than that, the facilities are really nice. Three packs of coffee for three 8 cups pots! nice touch and very appreciated.

Sadness...long lines, fast pass makes lines 3 times the wait for those that don't get it. The rides are different than from 6 years ago.. shorter not as adventurous...no Comal river. Food...good..but very expensive. Room...great... but the 4 person cabin is just as almost as expensive as the 9 person cabin. 3 night stay ... locked out after 1st night. Called service someone had to bring new keys. Stood outside the Cliffhanger for 30 mins waiting for someone to remember to unlock the gate... supervisor actually said "I thought someone opened the gate." Bamboozle pool...on Monday night was closed to resort guest. Had to call 3 times..waited 45 min for someone to unlock it. Check out was at 11 am... turned water off to cabin at 9 am... no warning. Always great to be at Schlitterbahn. The 2bd is very spacious, with a large kitchen and living room. The view from the porch is just fantastic.
