Camp Hideaway - Gruene

Absolutely awesome venue and staff!! I cannot recommend highly enough. There is so much good to say, I do not know where to beging. Two main things: 1. The staff is super responsive and kind! 2. They are very generous. We needed extra security due to an ongoing harassment issue with the staff at a local church (First Baptist Church New Braunfels…check out my Google review there for a warning from me about that place). Due to our suspicions regarding potential threats from FBCNB, the Camp Hideaway staff helped us out immensely with our security needs. Despite the disruptions from the local church harassment, we had an amazing week and a beautiful God-honoring ceremony and reception! It is difficult to imagine a more gracious, understanding, patient, and helpful staff than the folks

My husband and I got married at Camp Hideaway - Gruene on November 7th. We ended up checking in a few days before had and staying on site through the weekend. We were able to enjoy the main house and hot tub with our wedding party and really soak in the time with our favorite people! We hosted welcome drinks the night before for all of our guests staying on site and the reception on the wedding day for everyone. It was the PERFECT backdrop to our perfect day! I can't imagine getting married without the lodging houses and all of our favorite people staying on site. It made the wedding day so easy! I'm so grateful for Camp Hideaway!!

My husband and I just got married here on Oct 11, 2025. We had every house on the property booked for the weekend and had family/friends from all over staying with us. The venue was perfect, everyone enjoyed the amenities and being close. I would absolutely recommend this location and venue to anyone. Working with Michelle Yang made the experience even more enjoyable- she was responsive and a delight to work with!

We had such a wonderful stay at this beautiful farmhouse right in Gruene! Our friends and we stayed together with our four kids, and everyone had an amazing time. The house was spacious with four bedrooms, and the kids absolutely loved the gorgeous bunk beds—they had so much fun! The interior design was charming and everything was very well maintained. The entire property was peaceful and full of beautiful trees that provided lots of shade, making it feel like a perfect getaway. The pool was just right for relaxing and playing, and every staff member we met was friendly and helpful. We truly loved our stay and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing and fun stay in the area!

Booked this spot for our annual river floating trip and it turned out to be such a hidden gem. We booked for 2 houses and loved it. The houses are perfectly spaced apart, giving you privacy, and each one comes with its own hot tub and fire pit. There’s also a shared pool and BBQ area, which was a nice touch. Everything is very well maintained. The rooms were comfortable, and the open-space kitchen layout made it easy to hang out and cook together.
