Residence Inn by Marriott Sioux Falls

Lived in here for 1 month when I first moved to Sioux Falls and for a few nights here and there over the past few years. Hands down the best hotel here. From the wonderful staff to the the price per night and you get a small/full kitchen, it's unbeatable. Whether it's for a night or a week, there is a lot nearby to do. 100% recommend

In terms of proximity to Sioux Falls, this is an excellent location to stay while you explore, but in terms of quality this establishment will leave you wishing you chose an alternate place. I reserved and paid for an accessible room for my disabled husband & myself months ago. After traveling 8+ hours we arrived ready to relax and enjoy the comforts the Marriott name should provide however, we were met with guest services letting us know they had overbooked. The accessible rooms were not available despite having paid more money to ensure we’d have one. The new manager at first told me they had made mistakes in booking, then proceeded to tell me these other individuals must have just arrived before us. Positive: Clean, friendly and helpful staff, comfortable bed. Negative: The side door wasn't working and we had to go around a couple times. A/C in room was overly strong, we had to close the vents more to lessen how intense it was.

We purchased a new smaller home in November 2021 now we needed to sell our home of 20 years which we did and ended up closing January 7 of 2022. It would take three months to renovate our new home starting in January. We needed a place to stay so we chose the residence inn. It was very inviting for our family. We were in two different rooms because of our family size we were in one bedroom with a kitchenette it was very functional and worked very nicely. Everyone was very cordial and nice. They made us feel welcome. They were always interested in how we were doing and love to visit with us in the mornings at breakfast. The girls needed to get up early to get to school and they loved eating breakfast at the Residence Inn. Anytime there was a problem which was rare that needed to be fixed it

Clean, decent place to stay; nothing special and nothing especially bad, either. That said, not a typical Marriott experience — everything was serviceable but very mediocre. I expect more. My requests for extra pillows and blanket through the app went unanswered, and the digital key feature doesn’t work yet. (We were running very late so I called to inquire about that in an attempt to expedite check-in.) Toilet ran a lot and the toilet/shower area was TINY. Bed was very firm.
