Residence Inn by Marriott San Francisco Airport/San Mateo

The room was very spacious - it had a full kitchen with plates and silverware and a dishwasher, dining space and tv & couch. It basically felt like a small stocked apartment. It was clean and I did not expect it to be so large. On the down side, you had to pay for parking and the offered breakfast was pretty lame. The setup for the tables was weird and you would have to weave around people at basically any point you were standing and the selection was pretty small.

Basic studio replete with kitchen, sofa, LG TV and comfortable queen bed. Always appreciate a space that allows in fresh air, however the lanai sliding door and large window don’t have screens, which would introduce a perception of security (and keep out bugs) especially for those on the first floor. There are security stoppers but screens would be fantastic.

The hotel is clean and comfortable. There is a pool but not a hot tub, and it is pet-friendly. The staff were very nice and thoroughly professional. Full-size kitchen. You never feel crowded in this room, and the cleaning staff keeps it fresh and inviting. Only issue is the bed can feel hard if you sleep on your side and don't weigh enough to push the mattress down. But overall it was very nice to come "home" to after a day at work. My dog liked it also.

These are little condo style hotel rooms. Plenty of space, parking right by your room. There is onsite laundry that’s super convenient (you can use a mobile app and credit card). The staff are super helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to be near SF, but not too close.

I’ve just had a fabulous experience with MARLENE at the front desk who has bent over backwards to help me with a complicated issue like a pro. She was not only professional but supportive and kind full of empathy and concern. She worked to help me meet a true concern I had for a big event I have coming up and absolutely this young woman is the face of the brand Marriott and the property. If only everyone took the time on a busy Friday to listen with such concern and then trouble shooting by putting me on hold and chatting with her manager. In just minutes she had a solution for me that was able to allow me to stay at the Marriott brand and this fabulous location.
