Residence Inn by Marriott Reading

I have to agree with others. The lighting is so odd. The entrance is very hard to distinguish. Staff were very friendly. They only clean once a week which is fine but they had us scheduled for day 4 of a 5 day trip but they were flexible. My biggest complaint was the air- no matter where you are in the living room, bathroom or bedroom, the air is blowing on you. I had to work a few hours and the air blows on you hard and non stop when you are sitting at the desk. Temp changes quickly if you turn it off. I would stay there again for sure if the price is right. I loved the location. Very quiet.

I recently stayed at the Residence Inn by Marriott in Reading, PA for four weeks while on business, and I have to say the entire staff made my time there absolutely wonderful. Everyone was so friendly, attentive, and genuinely cared about making sure guests were comfortable and happy. From the moment I checked in, Abreana went above and beyond. She has been incredible—always kind, knowledgeable, and attentive. Her professionalism and warmth truly stood out and made a lasting impression. She definitely deserves special recognition and a big thank you! The rest of the team—Abdel, Cario, Ashley, Jasmin, Iasia, and Christina and the staff from housekeeping were all fantastic as well. They kept everything spotless and welcoming, and the entire front desk team made every interaction pleasant a

Overall, this is a good hotel based on location and it is built only a couple years ago. The room was really beat up, though, as you can see in the pictures with dirt on the wall and shower curtain. The parking is also horrible as there’s only a couple spots near the hotel so you have to walk pretty far to get to the hotel from your car. The gym is also very small with weights missing so unfortunately this is already a rundown hotel only being a couple years old.

Great service good food nice area

The hotel staff is excellent. Phil at the front desk was quick to resolve a hiccup in my reservation. It’s exceptionally clean, nice furniture, amazing hot water with strong pressure for showers. My poor rating is for the beds. Typical of Marriott’s these days the bed is like sleeping on the floor with those weird pillows that squish to nothingness. I ended up sleeping on the sofa bed with my grandson; the bar in my hip was a bit better than the rock hard bed. My husband is titanium level with marriot but I’m over their hotels with their rock hard beds. If you like an extra firm bed this is the perfect hotel for you….everything except the beds is A+
