Residence Inn by Marriott Ocala

Visited this hotel as part of a getaway in the Ocala area. The property is fantastic and has nice amenities. The rooms (studios) are equipped with a fully equipped kitchen and a nice living area. Although the hotel was under renovation but I will give them props for keeping the noise to a minimum. There was renovation in the floor I was in but honestly while in the room I couldn't hear anything. Nice small pool with hot tub. And although it has a kitchen, if you don't wanna make yourself breakfast they have breakfast downstairs at the lobby. Definitely recommend this property and will definitely visit when we go back to Ocala

Clean hotel. Friendly & accommodating. They allow pets for a $75 fee which seems pretty standard these days. Service animals are always free. Residence Inn has a standard & convenient room layout. It’s a suite with a kitchen, full fridge, toaster, microwave, coffee pot, cooktop & (I think) and oven. There’s also a sleeper sofa. The TV swivels from the living room area to a king size bed. They also have rooms with 2 queens. |Keep in mind that you’re getting a suite for the price of mid range hotel room…it’s a good value. I would definitely stay again. ||Enjoy!

Can confirm weird smell and weird large bug mentioned in another review. Dogs barking loudly. Construction dumpsters in the parking lot. Furniture stained and everything just kind of looks beat up. Will not be coming back. I have platinum status with Marriott and have spent years on the road using residence inns. This one is rough. I’m here for five days for work since everything else was booked and can’t wait to get out.

This is a good Residence Inn. Melissa, the front desk clerk, provided excellent customer service in granting a request I had upon checkin. The hotel is quiet and comfortable. I love the fact that they welcome pets. Our little dog enjoyed her stay as well. The free breakfast was excellent with many choices, both hot and cold. My only suggestion would be that the hotel expand the happy hour. We arrived on a Thursday and discovered that they only have the happy hour Monday - Wednesday. Other than that, staying here was an excellent experience.

We drove in from MI and got there about 11pm. Nobody was at the front desk we had to wait for about 10 minutes before someone came to check is in. We got to the room, the TV wasn't activated, no cold water to brush our teeth and the room was located by a bunch of rooms that were getting renovated. The construction woke us up in the morning. We were not told the hotel was under construction. When I told the front desk about these issues in the morning they said they couldn't do anything and would let the manager know and he would contact us. We stayed there four days ago and still haven't heard from them. Kinda disappointed since I'm a lifetime Platinum elite member. There are too many hotel choices in this area. Stay away from this hotel.
