Residence Inn by Marriott New York Downtown Manhattan/Financial District

Location is unbeatable—Financial District on Greenwich St, steps from World Trade Center, 9/11 Memorial, Oculus mall, One World Observatory, Battery Park ferries, and subway lines. Perfect for downtown NYC sightseeing and easy access everywhere. Rooms were great: spacious suite with full kitchenette (fridge, microwave, sink—ideal for snacks/breakfast), comfy bed, clean, modern, and quiet. Extra space was a big plus for NYC. Service was solid—friendly staff, smooth check-in, helpful with requests and area tips. Free hot breakfast buffet had good variety (eggs, oatmeal, fresh fruit—usually well-stocked). Excellent value for extended stays in Lower Manhattan—would stay again! 4 stars.

Absolutely terrible! When we arrived, tv remote was not working. we requested new batteries as soon as we arrived. Went to front desk when they weren't delivered. Was informed that only engineering has them and would get them to us. We were with the hotel for 3 days. Batteries never came. ||The hotel had an issue with the sprinkler system in one of the rooms that triggered the sprinkler. They forced guests to ride in pitch black elevators that were flooded and dripping water. Or to take 32 flights of stairs. ||Day 3 -If you did not want to walk down 32 flights for breakfast, tough luck, you just missed out. |The room had no working phone, which made it impossible to communicate safety concern to the front desk. |Upon check out the general manager did nothing to address the safety concerns.

From the moment we came in and to the minute we left the hotel I felt so good cause I made a great choice by making a blind shot. The area is close to Brooklyn bridge, to the Battery park where the ferry to statue starts, The Wall street, all the subways, also Five guys to have best burgers and Chipotle to have nice and healthy dinner, so you’ll be good. Also the helpful option - breakfast included within your room, don’t skip it while booking, you’ll save a lot of money!!! Options are very good - bacon, scramble, omletes with cheese, veggies, pork sausages, oatmeal, cereals, a lot of pastries, coffee, tea, juices, enough to start the day nicely! Sad news: you’ll have shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soap and even lotion, but not the toothpaste and brushes ((( so feel free to come to Targe

I felt a need to write a review after seeing so many negative reviews of this hotel. I spend a lot of times in hotels and I'm not grounded to a brand by loyalty points. With that said, I found this hotel to be friendly, clean, modern, and relatively quiet. The check in for my 4 night stay was quick and efficient with a friendly staff. My room on the 29th floor was clean and modern, and while the view wasn't great (thank you FiDi), the window wasn't a view of a back ally or a brick wall. The breakfast wasn't the best, but this is new york city. Do you really want to be eating in a hotel buffet line instead of somewhere local? Go around the corner to a deli and get a BEC sando instead. I'd stay here again.
