Residence Inn by Marriott Los Angeles Redondo Beach

The only reason I’m giving three stars is due to some of the morning front desk staff. While not everyone was rude, a few interactions were unpleasant enough that we began avoiding the front desk altogether. That said, the hotel itself is very nice, clean, and comfortable—we truly felt at home during our stay. The housekeeping staff were especially kind and did an excellent job keeping our room clean and comfortable throughout our visit. Overall, the property is great, but the front desk service in the mornings could be improved, especially considering this is a hospitality-focused environment.

Disappointing check-in experience. I booked the hotel through a third-party site and had already paid in advance. At check-in, the front desk staff (supervisor) told me the payment had not been received and even suggested that I should leave. I explained that I was willing to pay based on booking price, but I was asked to pay an additional $100 without any explanation that it was simply a deposit. The situation could have been easily clarified if the staff had communicated properly. I have stayed at this hotel several times, but unfortunately the same front desk staff member has repeatedly been unfriendly and unhelpful. Our stay in July/August 2024 was an epic disaster, so much so that we checked out the same night we checked in. This year, the experience was so much better.||There were only 2 negatives.|1. Seeing a hotel employee fast asleep in a booth in the breakfast area.|2. When you check-in on the app, you are asked what time you are checking in. We had 2 PM. The room wasn't ready when we arrived - however, to the hotel's credit, they called when the room was ready.||Pros|1. Suite 400 is awesome. It's a corner suite, super quiet, comfy bed. Hotel is in a very nice area very clean and modern! Rooms had a lot of space, but the garbage disposal was not working and sinked was clogged. Took so many attempts for the staff to call the mechanic to come in and fix it. Overall, great location, great parking, and safe! Thanks for a great stay!

Location is perfect. service was polite. Walking into the room is severely underwhelming. I was hoping for the price that it would be a very nice room and something memorable. The room isn’t anything better or nicer than you could get for half the price. I would definitely save the half of what i paid and get a room identical to this than to come here again.
