Residence Inn by Marriott Fargo

The hotel was nice but lacked cleanliness on the floor we were on. Room itself was clean. I did have a chat with the assistant GM and seemed receptive. As a caretaker some things just stand out and it’s not about perfection but taking care of the basics. Seems to be an issue as we had a similar experiences lately with middle of the road hotels. When you’re paying $130 a night American or Canadian there are basics that need to be taken care of verse paying $80 a night.

We've stayed at several hotels in Fargo over the years and this is definitely the best. The staff was super helpful and friendly. It’s in a great location. The rooms are beautiful, clean, quiet and spacious. The pool area was simple but clean and not overly humid like most pool areas and the breakfast was one of the best I’ve had at a hotel. I honestly have nothing negative to say about our stay. If you’re looking for a place to stay in Fargo, stop looking and book this.

We have been staying here since it opened. It is well maintained, still as near-new. Always greeted warmly, this time by Mary and Keely who treat us like family. Check-in and check-out was quick and efficient. Rooms are large, clean, modern, comfortable with full size kitchen appliances, and very quiet. We have never had an issue at this hotel, and have always been treated like respected guests. We visit Fargo several times a year and would never even think of staying anywhere else. Great place, fabulous hot breakfast, cool lobby, great staff, great management.

Stayed here around Thanksgiving. The front-desk employee was new, and none of this is her fault — the issues seem to fall on management. When I asked about laundry prices, she couldn’t tell me the cost (it’s $2 to wash and $2 to dry), and when I tried to buy detergent, she wasn’t sure if she could accept a $2 bill. She also only had 75 cents in quarters, so the whole thing went nowhere. I ended up going next door to get change. The laundry area itself is clean, but the machines are another story — the detergent trays were covered in mold with standing water. The equipment clearly hasn’t been cleaned in a long time. The room was mostly fine. The shower was hot and the water pressure was acceptable, but the tub was worn out and showing its age. The hotel is still using mag-stripe key cards

The hotel boasts an excellent location and outstanding service provided by the staff. The complimentary breakfast exceeded expectations, offering a surprisingly delicious selection with a wide variety of options. I would also like to extend my sincere appreciation to the manager, Tim, for his exceptional assistance and warm, professional demeanor throughout my stay.
