Residence Inn by Marriott Deptford

I just wanted to take a moment to give a heartfelt thank you to Linda at the Residence Inn. From the moment we arrived, she made our stay feel warm, welcoming, and truly special. Her kindness and genuine care did not go unnoticed—she went above and beyond to accommodate us and made everything so smooth and comfortable. Linda’s customer service is exceptional. She has such a sweet spirit and a natural way of making guests feel valued and appreciated. It’s rare to come across someone who puts so much heart into what they do, and it really made a difference in our experience. If I could, I would give her flowers as a small token of appreciation for the positivity and care she brings to her work every day. She is truly a gem, and the Residence Inn is lucky to have her! This was the worse Marriott I stayed at in over 20 years. The moment I walked in the side door, after checking in, there was a freshly stained carpet with the smell of vomit and a large garbage cart in the stairwell that smelled of rotting food. The room smelled of mildew and although the room was nicely prepared, there were dents in the refrigerator door, a bath towel that smelled of gasoline, no hair dryer, mildew/mold in the shower, and dust and stains on the back of the bathroom door where you would hang your towel.||The hotel allowed guests to party and play loud music to 2:00 a.m. They front desk said they allowed the guests, under a contract for their event, to party until midnight; however, they did not stop the group from continuing well past 12:00 a.m. Additionally, they did not

Customer service was very good and hotel was in a decent area with walking distance to shops and eateries. Rooms were spacious with decent lounging area and kitchen. Only issue was the lack of dollys and lack of carts in the building and also blanket smelling like cologne. I have contacted Marriott that this location needs more carts and more dollys. Housekeeping needs to thoroughly check blankets and linens and make sure they are properly washed and cleaned. The night I stayed appeared to be a busy night at this location. Stayed at this hotel last weekend. The loaction conviniance was the sales point for me. I am and have been a Marriott hotels fan for a long time. I have worked in the industry for many years, in various departments of the hotels. I have worked with Marriotts and know the standards that Marriott hotels lives by. Needless to say that this property is a far cry from what Marriott corporate expects from their non-corporate locations. For starters, the way the room looked was dark, gloomy and dinggy. The hallways had a funny smell, not bad but not pleasant. Marriotts are picky about the hotel smells. As our stay progressed, we noticed that the TV in the kitchenette area was loose and tilted, the cable box even popped out when I tried to level out. The stains on the ceiling are discust

Room was a bit dated. Carpet had lots of stains all over. Breakfast was ok. Location was good for where I needed to be. Person above the room probably let the tub overflow. There was water pouring into the kitchenette for over an hour. Was told there were no other rooms so had to endure a wet room for a whole night and day.
