Fairfield Inn Deptford

We stayed at the Fairfield Inn Deptford NJ Jan9 and 10. I'm a Marriott lifetime platinum member and have stayed in various levels of Marriott properties in the US and Europe including many Fairfield's. So I know what expectations to have. I mean they aren't a JW. But this was one of the worst we have had. From the front desk to maintenance, to housekeeping. |I'll start with the front desk. with exception of one lady the rest seem to have missed the class on hospitality. Which the dictionary definition is literally the kindness of welcoming strangers.|Next we'll talk about maintenance. My wife, son and I were in one room, and my 2 daughters were in another. We had a wonderful stay! The front desk staff was extremely nice and very helpful, which made our visit so much more comfortable. The rooms were spotless, and the entire property was very clean and well taken care of. On top of that, the price was excellent for the quality we received. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others!

The location was very good for my purpose, visiting family. Reception service was also very good. The rooms are in goodd shape and have USB ports in addition to standard receptacles. The elevators looked a little beat up and we're slow. The breakfast area is what I expected, okay but also a bit messy.

Let me start by saying that I'm a pretty seasoned traveler and have stayed at approximately a dozen Fairfield inn's over the past few years. While I believe this hotel wanted to be good, they just had too many things happening which impacted our stay. The rooms were fine and check in was uneventful. However the following issues occurred (some could have been unfortunate timing, but together they indicate issues with the hotel which need to be addressed): 1) the in room phone didn't work, so you can't call the front desk unless you use your own phone. 2) the Internet connectivity here is abysmal. I was trying to stream a show to my tablet and was getting DSL speeds (1.2 Mbps). 3) two out of three of the nights, streaming Netflix on the TV was not working 4) the fitness room has one tread
