Residence Inn by Marriott Bismarck North

Sorry for the late review. I stayed here Oct 4 and had an amazing stay. The room was large, clean and very comfortable. The hotel is in a great location close to restaurants and shopping. The main highlight of this hotel was your front desk attendant, Jackson. I spend a lot of nights in hotels over the years and have met many wonderful employees, but Jackson is the top.of the list. Very friendly, helpful and gives off a very positive vibe that shows he is proud of this hotel and the experience they provide. He should be strongly considered for management if it is of interest to him.

I live in the Dallas area and have been coming to Bismarck to work at one of the hospitals for a week/month (most months) since 04/2025. I always stay at the Marriott Residence Inn in Bismarck. The rooms are clean and well taken care of. The staff have all been friendly. I particularly appreciate Jake, who is usually at the front desk during the day, and Jackson whom I have seen primarily at night and weekends. These guys are great. They recognize me and greet me by name with a smile. They are warm, friendly, personable, and caring. It seems truly important to them that I as the customer have a good stay. When a hotel is modern and clean, it makes a huge impression on our family. We have 4 kids, and there is nothing worse than a dirty room/hotel. The breakfast was good, and the staff was very polite and helpful. My kids liked the pool, but were not crazy that it was salt water. They loved that there is a basketball court, and can't wait till it's nice to come back here again. The exercise room was very nice and clean, but some of the equipment could be updated. I would totally recommend this to a friend.

The layout and functionality of the room was fantastic, however, the maintenance and cleanliness of the room was sub-par at best. When I arrived to my room, I immediately noticed a mildew smell that did not go away for my entire stay. I ended up buying an air freshener to help mask the smell. The bathroom sink did not drain, the shampoo bottle was broken, the TVs were outdated and each TV listed a different room number, and neither was my actual room number. The couch was very dirty, there were stains on the lamps and carpet. The walls and doors are all very scuffed and dirty. The service at the front desk was fantastic, though.

They have full size pool towels which is awesome! The room was nice and clean. The bed was very comfy. Plenty of room for our family plus our dog. They had an opening in the middle of a winter storm. Friendly staff.
