I stayed at this guesthouse in New York and would not recommend it. The interior, bathrooms, and toilets are outdated, which does not justify the high price being advertised. It feels like the owner is taking advantage of the convenient location rather than offering real value for money. When I arrived, I had informed the owner in advance that I would be there at 1 PM, and he confirmed, asking me to WhatsApp him. Despite this, he left me waiting for over an hour before responding. This shows a lack of professionalism and respect for guests’ time. On top of that, I asked the owner for assistance with my luggage since my room was on the 4th floor. Very low maintenance of shower and of the shared bathroom in our floor. They are very small rooms for such a high price ,maybe good just for one or two nights.

The accommodation in question, a discreet urban refuge rented for seventeen days, oscillates between functional austerity and the shortcomings of a space left to its own fate. The room, though equipped with heating and a shower that performs without fuss, features an odd bed: a collage of layered sheets, the top one adorned with stains that invite suspicion. Reservation Resources has been managing our building for the past six weeks and I cannot say enough about the wonderful job they are doing. They have a support team that can be reached by phone or email for any questions, requests, or even suggestions, and someone always responds immediately with help on the way. Everything is streamlined. When it snows, someone clears our sidewalks early in the morning, our hallways are kept clean, and Reservation Resources was kind enough to keep on the same pest control company we were using before, even offering them additional work. In addition, we pay our rent online now without the hassle of writing checks and trips to the post office. This place is 10 minutes walk from Penn Station. The rooms are very old but it does the job. Bathrooms are very small and very old too. It was most of the time clean. Take earplugs when coming here because the walls are thinner than paper. Also some rooms have views on a brick wall with absolutely no daylights coming in. I felt very bad for the old guy working here because it seems like he's alone and he was literally doing everything from cleaning the rooms and the bathroom to taking trashes out. It's a nice location for a few days but 10 days seemed really claustrophobic and too expensive for the quality of the place.
