Renaissance Tulsa Hotel & Convention Center

I have never seen a hotel that cares more about the outside than the rooms. Our room had carpet wrinkled into a ball, the bathroom floor was black with mold in the grouting. The tv turned off every five minutes and if you could get it to stay on it froze up or just was blurry. We were there for the marine corps ball. You would think that they would care when you go to check out and tell them about the room they would want to do something but we paid a ridiculous amount for a small dirty room that it was hard to get dressed up very formal with no lights and a horrible mirror. I expect a hotel to have a restaurant with great food and superb service. Still, the Renaissance by Marriott Tulsa Hotel & Convention Center offered an intangible gift on the weekend of January 23, 2026. There was a nationwide winter storm, Fern, which closed down much of Tulsa. We had flown in from California and met family who had driven for two hours to celebrate our daughter’s 50th birthday. We had 5 rooms with 11 guests. The restaurant’s full menu was closed, but they provided us with hot chicken noodle soup, pasta with beef, and broccoli. This hot meal was such a pleasant surprise. We had a luncheon after my nephew's funeral. The catering was great. Service was prompt. They kept the food and drinks well stocked. Dirty dishes were picked up quickly. The meeting room was clean and well maintained.

This review is a bit overdue-we stayed on November 8th for our wedding night before heading out of town. We had booked a king suite with a balcony facing the movie theater, and based on the hotel's reputation and price, we expected a high-quality room. Unfortunately, the room fell short of those expectations. The air conditioning barely worked, the bed was very uncomfortable, and the carpet was lifting from the floor in several areas, creating little mounds that looked like anthills. In the bathroom, tiles were coming loose from the walls and floor, and the toilet paper holder even fell off. The entire room had a strong smell-like smoke or dust-and overall it just felt very old and worn down.
