Renaissance New York Midtown Hotel

Check in and check out was easy and staff were friendly! Elevators take a second to figure out, but once you get it, it’s easy. Rooms are spacious, comfortable and the bed is extremely comfortable. The view from our room looked towards MSG, making it a convenient location! The only thing that I had an issue with was the door to the room. It was VERY heavy, hard to open and scary to close! And despite being heavy, they keep zero noise out! Everything else was perfect. Room and hotel were clean and smelled great! Definitely a nice hotel for a night in the city, coming from upstate for a show!

We like everything about this hotel except the elevators. Seriously- you cannot be in a hurry to get anywhere because you can wait as long as ten minutes for an elevator. Also be aware the bathroom is one of the new minimalist styles with glass shower and glass barn door. Staff is exceedingly pleasant and the bar is a fun area. The restaurant being closed for private parties, adds to the elevator congestion. Our room was immaculate! Paula was a fantastic housekeeper. The executive lounge is run very efficiently by morning and evening staff.

The staff was pleasant and made check-in seamless. My request for a high floor was honored. I was also upgraded to a corner room with the most impressive view of the west side skyline. As a platinum member, I had access to the lounge which had very comfortable furniture and had a nice selection of soft drinks. I went up in the morning for breakfast also but everything was prepackaged (understandably due to covid restrictions) The rooms are lovely with comfy bedding and nice size flat screen TV. I liked the layout and decor of the bathroom as well and the detachable shower head was a plus. The one small issue I had with the bathroom is that the outlets weren't working so I had to use the hair dryer with the outlets next to the desk. I would like to leave a heartfelt review for the Renaissance Hotel in Midtown Manhattan. I want to specifically recognize Marlyn for her outstanding customer service. She was absolutely incredible—attentive, compassionate, and genuinely caring in every interaction. Her ability to make a guest feel seen and supported is rare and deeply appreciated. I also want to thank Matthew, the gentleman who checked me in initially. I was going through a very difficult time, and his kindness, patience, and willingness to accommodate me made a meaningful difference. He went above and beyond in a way that will not be forgotten. From the moment I arrived to the room service experience, everything exceeded expectations. Yes, Manhattan hotel rooms tend to be compact, but this one felt perfectly comfortable, ideal for solo stays or couples. The location is outstanding, right at Pelham Station, with incredible views. A pleasant surprise was discovering a quiet corner behind the lounge bar that worked perfectly for business calls. I really loved the exposed concrete design, it gives the place a modern, urban character. Would happily stay here again!
