Renaissance Chicago Glenview Suites Hotel

I hosted an event at the hotel. From the start, Shannon was incredibly helpful and responsive in answering all our questions and accomodations. Day of, we had early access to the ballroom to finalize set up and decorate. Sonny and Shannon checked in with us multiple times during the set up to make sure we had everything we needed. The food was excellent and plentiful. Danielle at the front desk was very welcoming and helpful. All in all, it was a wonderful and seamless event. The rooms were very nice, plenty of space with the added seating area. Definitely will have another event here.

We had our wedding ceremony at this hotel, and it was truly beautiful, better than we could have ever imagined. Everything was set up perfectly, the space felt so special, and the entire atmosphere made the moment unforgettable. The staff was wonderful and made sure everything flowed seamlessly so we could focus on enjoying our day. We really appreciated all of Hershey's help. We are so grateful we chose this location for our wedding ceremony.

This hotel isn’t really near anything. Even getting to it from the 294 tollway takes a long, roundabout route. The hotel looks like it could’ve been an Embassy Suites at some point, with a large central courtyard and some sad looking trees in the middle. The rooms are all suites, but are showing their age. The bathtub has some mold in the corners. We had a corner room, which meant we had two windows overlooking a busy expressway.

Positive: Clean, great location Negative: No luggage carts available at 8 AM, staff should find and return if guests are not doing so.

During my stay, the overall atmosphere among the staff felt very negative and disengaged. Most employees appeared unhappy and exhausted, which unfortunately reflected in their interactions with guests. It often felt as though guests needed to go out of their way to be extra friendly just to receive basic assistance. Communication was particularly difficult. Obtaining clear information required asking multiple detailed questions, and even then it was challenging to hear or fully understand the responses. The level of information sharing and general communication from the staff was very weak. Additionally, there was a noticeable lack of friendliness—none of the staff members seemed welcoming or approachable. The general attitude felt more like “stay if you must and leave as soon as possibl
