Relax Inn

My friend and I were not the most pleased with our stay here. Had we any other options we would have stayed somewhere else, but with it being race weekend most everything else was booked up. We came in and got a room. We took our bags up and went to explore the surrounding area. When we came back we saw something very discomforting that someone had drawn onto our mirror. Initially we thought someone had broken into our room and done this (see pictures). We were met with initial distain from the front desk, saying, "This is not possible". We finally convinced him to play the footage just to ease our mind which he begrudgingly did. During which time 2 separate sets of potential guests asked the same following question, "Do you have any rooms available"? To which he did respond, "yes". Howeve

Nothing about attempting to get a room here was "relaxing". Within a 2 minute conversation I was asked at least 6 times if I was alone. After telling the man at the front desk for the 6th time that I was solo he told me he would call the LAW on me if I wasn't. Mentioned calling the Law a few other times but I was so irritated and offput at that point I forget the other reasons I was threatened to have the police called on me just for trying to patronize a business and have a place to sleep for the night. He then told me he isn't accepting card and only cash. (Not traceable.) LADIES (& gents) AND SOLO TRAVELERS BE WARE. This is giving trafficking vibes. Would not recommend.

Just here for the Martinsville Speedway races. Dead bugs all over the motel room, half the lights dont work, and even finding bugs in the bed as well. I'm better off sleeping outside...DO NOT RECOMMEND~

My first paid work trip brought me to Martinsville. My boss told me to not except much cause I just started but when I got to the front desk the staff were knowledgeable and kind. They told me some fun things to do around here and then I got to my room. The room was pretty standard but everything was clean and smelled great inside the room. Bed was comfy and I got a great nights sleep. I was quite surprised at how much I enjoyed my stay here and I’m looking forward to coming back here for more work stays. Thanks Relax Inn for making my first paid work trip special. Cheers to many more!!

I seems the management knows how to double their income. I booked and paid for a room for the Martinsville Nascar weekend from the first till the 4th of November this year for 469,35$. I am in the US at the moment and I got a serious dental problem which forces me to fly back to Germany. There is still over a month till the races and they will have no problem at all to rent my room to somebody else and because I cannot be there I canceled already my stay twice by sending them an email and asking for a refund. No answer and apparently no refund which is kinda scam. So if you want to stay there and get sick, say goodbye to your money. I hope one day a sinkhole will swallow this place and the greedy management with it.
