Red Roof Inn Yemassee

Devra gave us a friendly greeting and we were hungry and couldn’t believe that they make delicious pizza right at the motel! That was a real plus! Our room was clean, nicely decorated, well equipped, and comfy bed. No complaints- Breakfast was quite minimal- but on the whole- it was a great value for the product.

My wife and I stayed there February 23, 2026 and found the front desk clerk to be helpful during check in. .after we were in our room for about 1 hour we heard a lot of talking in the room next door. It turned out that the 2 rooms were connecting rooms and the noise was coming through the connecting door. We called the front desk and she switched us to another room just down the hall. We are very appreciative for her help. The negative issue was the "continental breakfast" which was nothing more than some sweet sugary cereal and waffles. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. I would stay again as the value was good.

While traveling recently, my mother and I needed a place to stay for one night, and this location was a great choice. It’s conveniently located right off the highway with several dining options nearby. The room was very clean, and the hotel itself was quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was good, though there are additional food options close by. What truly stood out during our stay was the exceptional customer service. We were greeted by Sal, who immediately put us at ease and was genuinely enjoyable to talk with. Traveling can be exhausting, but his positivity made the experience even better. If I’m ever in the area again, I would absolutely stay here. The overall rating should be higher than 3.8—customer service like this speaks volumes. Thank you, Sal.

Wow, where to start. Oh yes, inCREDibly rude young man upon checkin. He must really hate his job and it shows. First room smelled horrible. Moved me to second room upstairs, with no working elevator and absolutely filthy stairwell and hallways. Second room better, clean bed and smelled cleaner. Next morning an elder man downstairs talking loudly on his phone. Never even looked up or acknowledged. He's probably the owner and the father of the rude young man the day before. ||Absolutely no welcome, hello, explanation of what little they had to offer. Breakfast, take a guess. Sad and uninspired just like their attitudes. Luckily I was not there for any longer than necessary. Day of checkout, a new face, a woman at the desk, who actually said hello, and smiled. While going over the reviews we thought this might be an okay place to stay...WRONG! Hallway smelled awful leading to our room. The towel and wash clothes were actually gray when they were originally white. The room heating unit was very loud. We turned it off so we could get some rest. The "peep" hole had a tissue stuck inside. So evidently other customers didn't feel safe. The breakfast consists of a waffle maker a gallon of milk in the refrigerator and coffee. Take away from this stay, we should have stayed at the Hampton Inn across the road. I really don't understand how this was rated a 3.8 star. 2 star at best.👎
