Customer Reviews
The staff were incredibly personable and friendly, but that can't compensate for the cleanliness of the rooms. I checked in, did a bed bug check, and found one within a few seconds. The staff promptly moved me to a new room, which was equally as dirty and not maintained. Fortunately I didn't find any bedbugs in the new room, but the cleanliness was certainly a factor. They were fumigating several rooms while I was there, so they clearly have an issue. I won't be back.
So based on the reviews and the photos I made the leap to stay at a Red Roof Inn in general and this one specifically. We were only planning a quick overnight stay to sleep (for less than 8 hours). I did not expect luxury, but at least something decent for one night. Let me tell you - yikes. This hotel has put me off Red Roof Inn's forever which is sad because I really wanted to like it.||The bed was honestly the worst I have EVER slept on in my entire life. Each time my husband moved an inch the whole bed shook and woke me up (my kids also complained about this on their separate bed as well). The beds were soft and saggy. My kids bed sheets were damp and sticky - they refused to use sheets at all, all night long. There were ants crawling all over the bathroom. There was a
Positive: The front desk staff was friendly. Negative: Very dirty room. The bathroom cieling was sagging from possible old water damage (like the paint was coming down in a bubble). The sheets were very stained so were the pillow cases. I was thankful that we brought our travel pillows.
I gave this hotel a fairly good rating before the hot water ran out in my shower and some kind of bugs and walked out of my clothes which I'd left on the chair. I think it was a baby cockroach. Lady on the front desk was unconcerned and unapologetic . The previous evening the gentleman on the desk was helpful and found an extra chair for the room, which curiously only had one in a double room. One expects a degree of shabbiness in this price range, but the bugs are not a welcome addition.
Do yourself a favor and get a room elsewhere. The facility smells of pot smoke, there are families living here who allow their children to play in the hall. The outside door does not lock, making it an unsecure place. The bed in the room I had was leaning due to a broken frame. I had to support it with a car gas cap I found outside. The TV would not work, and the door hinge is worn so you have to force the door closed. I travel frequently, and this place has quickly moved to my top 5 worse hotel stays.
