Americas Best Value Inn Painted Post

Stayed at this hotel for one night while passing through. Check-in was quick and the staff friendly. The room was large and spacious, but old and in need of some renovation — please remove the carpet. Breakfast included yogurt, cereal, and bars. Perfectly fine for a one overnight stay. I would probably stay at this hotel again in the future if I were passing through.

Excellent value for the cost! Came for a quick roadtrip layover and was pleasantly surprised by the size of the room. Has all the basics: TV, mini fridge, microwave, etc. I might not love the bed for longer than a couple nights, but it was decent even with my bad back. Check-in was quick and the staff told us ideal parking spots for our U-Haul w/ trailer for easy exit. I've paid much more for much less quality, and we have zero complaints about our stay!

Check-in was simple with friendly front desk workers who offered us bottled water from a refrigerator in the lobby. The room was very clean and well-equipped with tea, coffee, a refrigerator and microwave. I especially liked the fact that the floor was not carpeted but wood laminate, which is much easier to clean. The pool looked brand new and was open late. Breakfast was perfectly adequate, coffee, tea, yogurt, fruit, cereal, milk and protein bars with bags to pack for takeaway or to eat there. The location was perfect to visit The Corning Museum of Glass, which was under 10 minutes away.

The rooms are super outdated as well as on the dirtier side. The toilet was dirty as well as the tub/shower. The curtains are not hung to close for privacy as well as they hung over the heater so it barely got warm enough inside without having to cram a shoe on top. The TV was the size of a tablet. Just not the greatest, even for the price. Should of spent the $80 more for a better place

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and value. Upon arriving I was a little nervous. My previous visit to Corning at another older inn, our bed broke (just from sitting on it). The outside looks old, but the inside is modern, clean and well-kept. Check in was seamless and there's the cutest, gray fluffy cat to accommodate the process. The water was piping hot, comfy bed and pillows, all the necessities like a mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker. What really sold me was the staff pushing breakfast back 90 minutes to start at 4am for the runners there for their big annual marathon event. The staff was so professional and were on their A-Game that weekend. I do the marathon weekend every year and this is only 5 minutes from the town. This in is a hidden gem and my new go-to.
