Red Roof Inn Meriden

The moment I drove up to the hotel I had a bad feeling. Sketchy people were loitering in the front, the doors were beat up, cigarette butts on the ground in front, cars in the parking lot that hadn’t been moved in weeks it seemed. The lobby is uninviting and dim. The room was actually okay, but worn, dated, dim and not that clean. The family who runs the place are lovely and kind, and did offer another room after I explained why I was checking out. I am glad I found another place. Never again.

The hotel room doors being next to each other kept waking me up, wasn't getting the housekeeping service and the ammenities like glasses were not refilled, but other than that it was good.

Besides not having a fridge or microwave, to me it's overall a 4 cause rooms I had since being here sec time has been clean and spotless. Service to me also not bad I had no issues or problems with service....

My bed sheet had something (bouger?) stuck to it and I did find a piece of grass between the sheets. Used a piece of toilet paper to wipe up what looked like bits of dried blood on the tile outside of the bathroom and the tp came up charcoal grey. The grab bar in the tub had a residue of encrusted soap/mold at the base. The TV was Roku and we were unable to get any local or standard stations. Everything was stream. The towels were soft and white but one of the wash cloths had a dark stain on it, as if it had been used to wipe shoes. Small soap by sink. Soap and shampoo at tub. White bath mat. Two night stay, no new towels, or bed service. Came back to the room the way we left it, including the used bath towels. Curtains on window kept external light out (a plus). Smelled ok except for odor

One female at the counter is not friendly at all. Gave my boyfriend the hardest time cause of his dog. It says in the policy dogs have to be on a leash. Other dogs staying are not in a leash. They asked him to leave cause of the snow storm that's coming.she is very unprofessional. They wouldn't do room service cause of the dog but yet he removed the dog so they could do the room service an they still wouldn't
