Red Roof Inn Greenville, NC

If you are used to a Hilton or Marriott brand hotel, don't expect that here. However, if you just want a bed, bathroom and a TV for the night, this will cost you half the price. Just about everything else in town was booked and we usually look for a Hampton Inn. My 20-year-old son jokingly called it "The Red Roof Barracks". Pretty basic, but it worked for us. The location is great with plenty of stuff around it (food and stores) and easy to get to other destinations. The staff was friendly at check-in. The rooms were pretty clean and it is clear they've been doing some basic upgrades. We saw people carrying in newer TVs and hauling out the boxes. Some newer and bright LED lights were in our room, but none placed directly over the sink. Towels were pretty thin. Beds were pretty c

Positive: The only thing is it has hot water only Negative: I reserve a non-smoking room but the room smell like people was smoking weed and other stuff in there. The bedding was not clean. Have stains all over. Water pressure was low in the shower.

Horrifying place. Holes in the walls, roommates that bite, doors that don't fully lock and open on a whim. I'm still covered in welts and itching. They refused to switch my room and I had no other choice, though sleeping on the street in the winter might have been less long-term pain. Their corporate office is a joke that for my injuries and report of their property, refused to investigate and help others not be assaulted by bugs, and offered me some points (which didn't even make up for a quarter of the 2 nights I paid for, which was more insulting than not offering anything). Honestly, my true belief is everyone involved should have victims take action against them, because I'm not the only one victimized. Paid extra for the "superior room"

I booked here for a week and left after three nights. The front desk staff was nice. The room I was in was absolutely disgusting. There were roaches. The floor was filthy. The toilet seat didn't fit the toilet, and the toilet leaked any time it was flushed. All the blankets and towels were stained and looked nasty. I was told it was a non-smoking room, but the room reeked of stale cigarette smoke. And to top it all off, I had to clean someone else's blood off the nightstand. Housekeeping never once touched my room. The front desk did say they would have pest control out to spray that room specifically, and that they'd get maintenance to get the toilet fixed and seat replaced. I was able to get a refund for the four nights I did not stay, but I will never stay here again.

The rooms were filthy!!! The sheets are stained or not changed!! The bathroom mirrors weren’t wiped down. The floors hadn’t been mopped. Tub was gross. I didn’t dare take a shower there!! We had come from Denver N.C. To see the football game. No other hotel choices!! Never again!
