Red Roof Inn Franklin, KY

For a moderately priced hotel this place surpassed my expectations. The room was cleaner than some high end places I've stayed. The room comes with a mini fridge but not the tiny cube, the larger one. We had to come here after the ice storm 2026 took out our utility pole and we knew we'd be without power for a long time. It was nice to be able to keep a reasonable amount of food in the room so we didn't have to order takeaway for every meal. We were able to bring both of our dogs for a reasonable price, as well. I appreciate the fact that there were always bags in the dog waste station because I once forgot ours in the room. We stopped here on the way to Nashville. The hotel is located close to I-65 with food and gas options nearby. The hotel itself is small and has two stories with no elevator. The hotel itself is somewhat dingy throughout the corridors which are dimly lit and smell like smoke. The rooms were fairly clean while on the smaller sign. The bathroom was the strongest part with being new. This was good for the night clean and quitet over all.

Positive: The lobby smelled heavenly, it was very clean. The attendant was very friendly. Also, The room smelled heavenly and was clean very clean as well Negative: Some fresh fruit like apples, grapes, bananas. Quality greek yogurt and real eggs and biscuits would have made it perfect .

I don’t understand why there’s so much hate for this place. I stayed at this Red Roof Inn recently for a night to get off the road. The place was a little worn and well-used sure, but that’s exactly what I expected. I wasn’t paying Four Seasons prices, just looking for a simple, affordable place to sleep for the night. For the price, it delivered exactly what I needed and then some, so I’d easily give it 5/5 stars. The room was clean and comfortable. The sheets and towels were fresh, the bed was decent, and the TV had a good selection of channels. Small touches like a mini fridge/microwave and decent AC unit made the stay just fine. Super clean, awesome value. Have paid way more for a room this nice. Service is wonderful, right by the interstate but far enough to not hear it. Pilot across the street? Perfect.
