Ramada by Wyndham Macon

My husband and I stayed overnight to get a break from driving back to Atlanta, GA from Ft. Myers FL. Our stay was nothing short of wonderful. From the helpful and friendly front desk clerk (Nim) to check out, I have to say that for the money, this hotel is the best I have ever stayed at. Room and floors were clean, refrigerator, microwave, clear TV, remote and lamps worked, bed was comfortable, self-controlled thermostat heat/A/C worked great! The bathroom shower water pressure and water temperature was perfect! To add to the list, it was quiet and outside lighting in parking lot was bright all around the building so it felt safe. We needed last minute lodging due to a flight cancellation and an unanticipated long drive home. This spot fit the bill. The room was clean, check in was effortless. We had a king bed but only three pillows which was different. We were unable to get an extra pillow but we made it work. We’d had a long day and slipped over to SP Sportsbar which is co-located in the hotel. Owner was friendly and beer was cold. As it was a brand new business, food service wasn’t quite up and running, but that will be a nice addition to the hotel. ||Breakfast was standard hotel fare. Waffle maker, bananas, yogurt, cereal. We took some fruit and got on the road.

This was such exceptional value for money! The rooms have been recently renovated and are clean and very welcoming and cozy. The staff is spectacular. The on-site sports bar is top-notch with great service and live music as well as pool tables and darts. This will be our go-to when coming through this area!

The location with regard to the Atrium Health Amphitheater was our original reason for choosing this hotel. However, it turned out to be way better than expected. The price was excellent and the hosts extremely welcoming and accommodating. The room was very clean, the bed extremely comfortable and the shower had amazing water pressure (something many hotels seem to lack for some reason) Breakfast was included and sufficient. If you wanted something a little more then you could walk across the parking lot to Waffle House. A Sports Bar next door is nice too, so you don’t have to drive after having a few drinks. Would highly recommend if you are looking for an inexpensive, clean, place to sleep when attending a concert.
