Ramada by Wyndham Hotel & Water Park

We stayed one night at the Ramada by Wyndham Hotel & Water Park at the end of a Florida trip with our family. This property originally opened in 1966 as the Flamingo Waterpark Resort and was rebranded at some point to Ramada. It has great bones and has been updated a few times in the past, but it’s clearly an older property still in transition. The square courtyard layout is convenient, especially with kids. The waterpark (two slides, lazy river, kiddie pool) was open, which was a big plus. It closes at 6PM, while the main pool and Tiki bar stay open until 10PM. For a warm pool day, it worked well for us. Rooms were decent but dated. Newer floors, but older furniture and bathroom. Mini-fridge and microwave were helpful. My stay at the Ramada was excellent. The front desk team was very friendly and efficient, and the entire staff made us feel welcome throughout our visit. The rooms were clean and comfortable, which made our stay even more enjoyable. We had such a great experience that we’re planning to return this summer—this time with our whole family! The only minor issue was that the water park slide was under maintenance. I was a little disappointed because I was hoping to take my son on it. Other than that, everything was perfect. We truly loved our stay and look forward to coming back.

Kissimmee Ramada Review – Thanksgiving 2025||My spouse and I selected this hotel based on its location in Kissimmee, the Ramada brand reputation, and its advertised “Water Park.” While the location met our expectations, the overall experience did not align with the brand’s standards. ||Arrival & Property:|Upon arrival, the property appeared neglected, with a poorly maintained driveway and parking lot. The Ramada signage was a temporary tarp, and the lobby was clean but uninviting. The staff were courteous and helpful, which was a positive aspect. ||Rooms:|The room was relatively clean but outdated and in need of renovation. Issues included a malfunctioning coffee maker, visible mold, and mildew in the bathroom. The flooring did not appear to be thoroughly cleaned, feeling gritty and dirty

Positive: Waterpark was nice and the bed was at least comfortable. Staff was pleasant but did not help with our issues. Negative: The rooms were NOT clean. We had 2 rooms-one had cockroaches and a sink that would not drain. Other had hairs in folded towels and no fan in the bathroom so the entire room was constantly moist—to the point that the floor was slippery & sheets felt moist!

You get what you pay for. The property is a bit dated and could be deep cleaned but is ok for a day or two stay. I wouldn’t book for a full week. The breakfast was lackluster but it’s free. The waterpark was decent. They only had one slide available to ride. The lazy river was very nice. Kitty pool area was closed off. There is also a pool for those not interested in the water park. Again, you get what you pay for.
