Ralston Apartments & Townhomes

Resident for a year and a half living with my partner in one of the smaller apartment sizes. Rent is reasonable, especially with how close it is it IU and Purdue campus! Even more helpful is the fact the Blue and Yellow Jaglines have stops just outside the building on Indiana Ave. The folks in the leasing office have always been very kind and helpful, especially Emma, Stephaney, and Hurriyah; who are always a pleasure to see and talk to. The free coffee and cocoa in the leasing office is a pretty big bonus too. I also appreciate the occasional resident events hosted by the leasing office, which offer good moments to connect with your neighbors and develop community. I can confirm that all of the negative reviews are not exaggerated in the slightest. I lived here for two years, and the fire alarms were constantly going off for 30+ minutes at 3 a.m. The trash room was always overflowing and disgusting. I saw mice in the hallways and trash room on several occasions. Also!! If your packages are delivered outside of office hours, they will be left outside on the sidewalk and will most likely be stolen. To top it off, our lease ended on July 31, 2025, and we still have not received our security deposit refund. I am getting the same runaround others have described—specifically from Stephaney and her “manager,” Emma. Moral of the story: The Ralston stinks (literally), and so does the customer service. I highly discourage anyone from living here.

DO NOT LIVE HERE. I made a different email because they decide to argue back at everybody. The maintence staff is poor, it doesn't matter how many times you request something, they do not show up. If you call their emergency line they will tell you that it isn't an emergency. The fire alarm will randomly go off for 30+ minutes, packages sit in the leasing office for numerous amount of days before you recieve them. The "new and updated" flooring peels because it is fake. The showers constantly do not have hot water and the dish washers leak all over the floor. If you want your mailbox key, too bad. You won't get it. It is run by a ton of college kids. Don't do it

This Ralston tries to make it seem like they are a luxury apartment but it is far from that. They use vinyl flooring that is “newly renovated”. They use washer and dryer 3rd party system that us poorly run. The dryer in the middle building hasn't worked for 6 months and takes at least 2 drying cycles (5$) to have your clothes dried. You can ask management to have it fixed or even put in tickets for it to be fixed but it was never resolved. The third party company will say “it turns on” and close the ticket but your clothes will still be damp because they don’t test to see if it actually dries clothes. You can’t ask for refunds because they never open the first refund request in the app and so the app won’t let you request an additional refund, when their old machines break. They don’t eve

I’ve been living here for almost two years now, and I absolutely love it. The apartments are spacious, comfortable, and the location near the college is super convenient. What really makes this place stand out is the staff—especially “Emma”. She’s truly one of the kindest and most dedicated people I’ve ever met. She always helps me when needed, takes her work seriously, and her responsiveness genuinely makes my day. She’s such a lovable person. It’s rare to find someone so professional yet so warm, and she’s a big reason why my experience here has been so great.
