Queens Hotel

I stood here with three friends, one rated it 2/5 the other 2/5 and I gave it a 3/5 This is not a kid friendly hotel! The staff doesn’t really speak English and they do not tell you ahead of time that you need to pay a 100$ security deposit on top of your room price at check in—cash only. 100$ is honestly ridiculous given the state of the rooms. The “amenities” in the bathroom included 2 towels, 2 small towels both paper thin and a palm sized soap and my room had a half used and opened lotion bottle! There was junk under the beds, the bedsheets had yellow stains on them and the microwave did not work. The rooms are alright, they’re nice enough but look pretty outdated for being so new. The next door guests were having very loud intimacy and when trying to say something to a staff member

Positive: Location Negative: Left some items behind in our room and it’s been extremely difficult communicating with the hotel to get them back to us. They want us to have a friend or us come by and pick them up. I mean, we got a hotel cause we do not live there…

The only nice thing about this hotel is location. I stayed there on April 29. I called early that day to make sure I could drop off my luggage before check in time. They said yes. I arrived and checked my bags with absolutely no security provisions except me taking a picture of my bags. When I arrived, they didn’t have a room for me and then a few minutes later, they told me I’d have to take a room on the 7th floor with no elevator because it was broken. I said that would not be acceptable so they made me wait to get a room cleaned on the 2nd floor, which really is the 3rd floor bc they use the 2nd floor for employee use. I finally got into my room after 8pm and it was in awful conditions. Large portions of the bathroom ceiling damaged and I was concerned about bed bugs although I checked

When we first arrived the front desk didn’t bother greeting and they were talking with each other for a good 5 minutes. When we entered the room and bathroom were relatively clean, but the towels weren’t cleaned properly. The staff attempted to enter the room many times without consent or us requesting any services, when we did request cleaning services the room wasn’t cleaned properly and the sheets weren’t washed. At the end of our visit the elevator was not operational which meant we had to carry our suitcases down the staircase. Also the fire alarm sounded repeatedly with no fire. I would not recommend.

Very bad Hotel experience. Smell: our "premium" non-smoking room smelled like thick, stale cigarette smoke. Even worse was the terrible air freshener they sprayed to cover it up. The air gave us headaches. We had to sleep with the vent fan on, even though it was winter Noise: the staff told us that being on the 7th Floor would protect us from the noise of Queens boulevard, one of the noisiest streets in New York City. We stayed up all night listening to a non-stop parade of motorcycles, sirens, and drag racers.
