Quality Inn & Suites Las Cruces - University Area

Well let me start off by saying I did NOT notices EVERYTHING wrong with this room until the night before or morning of checkout. I drove in 3 hours away and sat at a 12 hour tournament before going to check in my hotel room. I was exhausted and wanted nothing but a bed. So lets get started. I chose this place because it was a very convenient location close to venue of tournament. One thing that led to no obvious sign of uncleanliness was poor lighting. The first thing I did noticed was that I did not want to step on the carpet barefoot. Good thing I took my slippers. I was to tired to complain about a bad floor. But once I did see how bad this room really was, I was disgusted that I stayed there. The towels that are supposed to be white were yellow in color, the cushions on the couch

DO NOT STAY HERE. Should’ve checked reviews first. We checked in to find our two rooms filthy. All beds were stained and dirty, and two of them had clear BED BUGS and blood stains. Rita at the front desk absolutely refused to refund our money and went as far as telling hotels.com she wouldn’t authorize a refund. Took our money but wouldn’t allow us access to the rooms for pictures to get a refund on our credit card, even when the POLICE asked to accompany us to the room. That’s right, they refused to allow us to get a picture for a refund even with the police watching us. Refused everything except to keep our money. All of this is simply their “policy.”

Staf was very welcoming. The room was very clean and nicely appointed. Took a bit for me to figure the remote out and finding the right connection to click on to watch TV but that was a minor inconvenience. Love that there 4 coffee packets in the room instead of the usual 2. I would definitely stay here again.

The motel its self is a perfectly decent quality inn. It was clean and comfortable, easy to get there. The service tho…above 5 stars. We had three issues, and not necessarily teeny ones. Two mine, one the motels. All three were resolved quickly and gracefully. I pretty much threw a dart at the cheap but decently rated motels in the area to pick this one, but now I will be using this place anytime we’re going through town.

The room was cozy, but please, update your TVs! I didn't even recognize the brand, looked like it was from the mid 2000s. The carpet needs a good cleaning too, clean carpets shouldn't turn your feet black. The whirlpool was nice (but there needs to be a mat available) and I enjoyed the free breakfast. The staff is friendly and helpful. A few updates would truly help this hotel.
