Courtyard by Marriott Las Cruces at NMSU

Not that this is a 5star hotel, but it is a 5 star Marriot Courtyard. Very clean and updated.. and the lounge bar area is truly special. Booths for privacy and fire pit and super nice patio. Above the average happy hour and breakfast .. nice, not free but very well done for just a lobby bar- which isn’t an actual restaurant. The rooms have a Kuerig, mini fridge and microwave. And there’s a Starbucks in the lobby. Very nice place for such a small low rent town.

I am a titanium member and, as a rule, avoid courtyards as they are pretty basic and do not provide complimentary breakfast. Although this one does not provide complimentary breakfast, I will stay here every time I am in Las Cruces. It is recently updated and I love the decor. There is a bar downstairs (their happy hour is sucky), they have a wonderful outdoor seating area and the fitness center is awesome (didn’t use it but did fill our water bottles there). We did not check out the pool but did notice people using it.

Positive: New, clean, and friendly front desk staff. Loved that it had a nice bar, that is a plus at a hotel of this category. Location was great, lots of Uber activity close by. Negative: The open-shower concept with the gap where the door should be is a trend that needs to go away. It's waste of towels, as the water gets all over the floor and it is just uncomfortable in general. Also noice from the upstairs floor, build lacks quality.

We've stayed here at least 6 times, if not more when in town to visit family. The hotel is very nice, and the rooms are spacious. The staff has been extremely accommodating, even once when our reservation through a third-party booking didn't go through right. It's usually slightly more expensive than the similar hotels we sometimes stay at in town (especially since breakfast isn't included), but the location is very good, it has a nice gym, and the rooms and lobby are very comfortable. We'll definitely stay here again.

Free parking. Starbucks inside with small selective Starbucks menu, had only the small size for drinks higher prices than just going to starbucks. Rooms were alright as long as you didnt look too close. Stains on walls and shower curtains and on shower wall. Around ceiling items a light and some detectors not fully sealed and not just like a hairline it was easily noticeable which means is should have been noticeable to them and looked quite easy to fix. Shower pressure was nice, shampoo, conditioner and bodywash was some of my favorite that I've had at a hotel (im actually looking to get some at home if I can). I would say to use extreme caution in the showers however, most hotels I have been to have textured floor of some sort, not this one, extremely slick and smooth. I stayed here with
