Quality Inn Huntington University Area

The sewage smell was so bad it made me sick We rented two rooms was charged $200 fee for each room and was told we smoked in both rooms is why and I know 2 kids was in one room and don’t smoke they was literally in the room to sleep and the smell was so bad we left When you walk in it smells like marijuana throughout the hotel even on the 3rd floor The laundry room couldn’t be used Ice machine didn’t work We didn’t have a mini fridge or microwave as advertised The 2nd room had a mini fridge This is by far one of the crappiest hotels around Huntington We have stayed in many hotels waiting for our home to be ready to move into. We had to leave our last home over black mold and thought we would be comfortable but nope the smell was horrible

This particular Quality Inn was not nearly as nice as the one we stayed in previously. I generally look for Quality Inns as they are a nice, affordable stay. The lady that checked us in was wonderful, both times that we stayed at the Huntington location. The recliner in the room and showers seat were greatly appreciated. I miss not having a microwave in the room and the carpet was stained and stale smelling. I think the cleanliness of the carpeting needs to be improved.

Positive: Nothing Negative: Everything. Switched to 3 different just excepted the last one. Was tired and need sleep. I have pictures of all the issues. The rooms smelled of a strong, door to the bathroom was severally damaged floors where dirty and hair in the sink. 1st room only

I'm asking for a refund on my points used for this reservation. I was on the 1st ffloor and the room above me squeed all night from the renter above. That floor needs to be torn out and redone. I called the front office and the night manager was supposed to come and listen . He never came. I recorded the sounds and played to the day manager. He stated that he would take that room out of service. Please refund my points.

Great location, helpful staff. Breakfast was sub-standard, room was a bit tattered with tears in the shade, bathroom fan was inoperable, shampoo dispenser was empty. Carpet was probably vacuumed but had so many stains that it looked filthy. Seemed odd to have only one night stand. Unfortunately, this has been a pattern with Choice Hotels in recent years. I've been staying in Choice Hotels for many years and find that most, but not all, have deteriorated enough that I will no longer be staying in them.
