Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Huntington

Stayed for 3 nights in a king room. I travel a lot for work and usually have to start my day early. Room was a decent size. Pretty clean. Has a mini fridge, microwave and small coffee maker. The coffee maker was super dusty/dirty inside, which was rather gross. I cleaned it so I could use it. They do have continental breakfast which was decent. Good eggs and options. They didn't turn over the room the first night (its advertised they do daily housekeeping on the TV menu), so the next day I inquired about getting new coffee and towels and the front desk attendant claimed they only do that "every other day"... but she did get me some more single serve coffee packs and a couple towels for my next morning. Positive: Location at the top of a hill in Huntington overlooking the city and River. When I mentioned this to the desk clerk she ensured she gave me a high floor with a view. Hotel is also very clean, excellent patio (though too cold to use much). Negative: There was not.

We really enjoyed our stay with Fairfield in Huntington. We liked how the hotel was up on a hill and had such beautiful views. We loved the outdoor deck with the cozy little fire pits and all the seating options out there . The gym was stellar; had a full dumbbell rack and plenty of equipment! The breakfast was super yummy too. Although there were not any restaurants within a comfortable walking distance , there were plenty of options close enough to drive; there are several restaurants just down the hill , about a 2-3 minute drive .

Customer Service- was greeted and given room keys very promptly. All the staff that I interacted with were very nice and helpful. Room- smaller than expected but not a big deal. 1 lamp didn't have a bulb in the bedroom. Floors creak all over. There's several weak spots in the floor that you sink in if you are caught off guard. Huge bathroom and shower. Plenty of towels. I had no bags in my trash cans. You can hear everything above you and beside you. The TV situation- local channels. You can log into Netflix and YouTube. Those are your only 2 options. If you're staying for longer periods, you may wanna consider bringing a Roku or something similar. Their WiFi is free but they also have an internet package for $5 to get the better quality for streaming. Amenities-pool is small. Gym is fairl

A solid 4/5 star hotel! We stayed here as our home base for a few days while we explored Huntington and the general area. The parking lot is included and the staff was very friendly. The lobby was very attractive! They gave us a room with a great view of the area. The hotel is on the top of a hill away from downtown so it's not walk-able to the main attractions but realistically nothing is more than a 10-20 minute drive away anyway. I preferred it to staying downtown where parking is sketchy and the costs are higher. Breakfast was included and very good! The room was a bit smaller than I'd have liked with no couch or comfy chair, just an office chair at the desk area. Still, this is a very fine place to stay. :)
