Quality Inn Defiance

The breakfast and coffee were both totally cold. I’m guessing that food was taken from the fridge and put into the warming pans to warm it up. Doesn’t help the early riser. And the coffee though good flavor was probably from the night before. The quality of the bathroom products is also extreme economy. Couldn’t hardly get a bubble from the soap and shampoo. Room was reasonably clean. Was it worth the savings from the other hotels in the area? My opinion is it should have been a lower price still as appearing as a one star more than a two.

Stopped for Emergency surgery in Defiance while driving U-Haul to Arkansas from Toledo. Stayed for 5 days. Quality Inn was a perfect place for recovery. Rooms were clean moderately priced and quiet. They allowed our cat in pet friendly room for a one-time fee of $100, not bad, considering the weather and circumstances. The well lit parking area has plenty of room for trucks and or other service vehicles. Staff was excellent, and the cleaning service was professional and friendly. Offers both a small hot and contential breakfast.. 24 hours complimentary coffee, tea, yogurt Free internet is available and easy to log onto. One last point For parents of Autistic children, this place is safe.

Great cable TV channel lineup. Warm comfy mattress bedding set and pillows. I could hear every noise in the hallway with my door shut. I never use the bar soap.

After staying 3 nights, we rose at 4am to go home and found a bed bug. Desk clerk was a new employee and said manager was to relieve her at 8am. She took our name, the bug, and told us to call after 8am. The new person answering the phone, Vee, denied they had bed bugs and we couldn't have found one because the motel didn't have them! The manager won't be in until Tuesday sometime in the afternoon. Denial means the next one to stay in the room will transfer the bugs to their next place and soon an infestation everywhere.

Check in was smooth, however I fully disclosed that we had four kids staying in the room with us, when I asked for a roll away bed I was told “I’m suppose to tell you no, but I’ll bring one up” ok.. that’s weird, while in the elevator she said “it’s a $15 dollar charge for the bed, should I just bill it to your room” yeah, that’s fine because we really needed that extra bed. I also found it very inconsiderate that staff parked In the space meant for guest checking in, and was especially annoyed that each morning at breakfast we had to listen to the desk clerk FaceTiming his family, even signing into his phone. The lady working the breakfast buffet was very pleasant.
